2005 / 1. STONE PAINTING
TOP: On one side of the jagged rock is the word ''Stay''. On the other side-the word ''Leave''. How often do I feel like leaving? How often does the day unfold well and I can imagine myself staying.
MIDDLE: It took me a long time to draw the negatives, as if extending the process of drawing itself was helping me to get rid of them. I made them as unpleasant looking as I could. Eventually, I focused on being tolerant to myself and others. I left two stones unpainted, as a reminder that I should remain open to new ideas.
